with little turnover. Some core employees
have been with the company since its in-
ception, which is also rare in the industry.
WestView Builders feels more like a small
family rather than a corporate environ-
ment. The company is trying to provide
their employees with a very flexible work-
life balance.
Many hands are involved in building a
house from start to finish, and it’s impor-
tant to have good relationships within the
organization and the business partners.
Some trades have been working with the
company since its earliest projects dating
back to 2004 in High River. Rick Vars, Con-
struction Manager, is directly involved in
working with the trade partners on a daily
basis. “The relationships we build with our
trade partners are one of the single most
important things in the production depart-
ment. We work in such a dynamic and
sometimes volatile industry where things
change almost daily, from products, build-
ing practice, market trends and client ex-
