about everyday, but Peel’s John Glass, Manager, Water & Waste-
water Operations and Optimization, certainly does, and his enthu-
F siasm is catchy.
The Region of Peel’s Waste Water infrastructure strategy is one of the lead-
ing programs in Canada. Not only does it serve one of Canada’s largest
municipalities, removing about 500 million litres of wastewater a day for
over 1.5 million residents, but it is one of the most environmentally-friendly
systems too.
It was a pleasure to speak with Glass about Peel’s GE Booth Waste Water
Treatment Plant, and how the new $272 million plant will service the region
in the coming decades and inspire other plants of its kind.
The overarching theme for this issue is how the companies within have
