here can be no doubt that this issue of Business Elite

Canada reads a bit differently than previous issues.

There’s a lot of talk of COVID-19 and organizations try-

T ing to maintain tight-knit cultures and stay in the black

during a period of extraordinary disruption.

Despite the pandemic and a slow and ongoing transition to our
“new normal”, 2020 was also a year of milestones for a number

of elite Canadian businesses. For example, Allnorth celebrated 25

years (page 6), Hamilton International celebrated 80 years (page 36)

and the Western Retail Lumber Association (page 76) celebrated an

amazing 130-year anniversary. In this issue, we also have the op-

portunity to recognize the achievements and contributions of Ron

Foxcroft, a Canadian business legend (page 26).

As we move ahead into 2021 (with relative caution), here’s to the
continued celebration of Canadian business success!
