ur April issue features an interview with PBCTO’s Business Man-
ager Patrick J. Dillon, whose work has helped establishe fair wag-

and during the pandemic.
Throughout the pandemic, Ontario’s construction sector has forged ahead as
an essential service. Throughout these past 14 months, the Provincial Building
and Construction Trades Council of Ontario (PBCTCO) has provided and shaped
safety protocols for employers, government officials, medical experts, and its
construction unions to make sure that every possible step was taken to protect
the safety and health of Ontario’s construction workers. PBCTO’s “Recommend-
ed COVID-19 Safety Protocol and Prevention Measures” document on April 23,
2020 served as a template for establish best-practices that employers, regula-
