018 will be noted in the history books
as the year Canada did away with
draconian laws surrounding marijuana
and passed Bill-45, otherwise now as the
Cannabis Act, which will amend the Controlled
Drugs and Substances Act, the Criminal Code
and other Acts to allow Canadians to legally
use marijuana.
It’s an exciting time for the cannabis market
and its investors: the industry is expected
to be worth close to $8 billion by 2021 and
demand is growing for innovative technology
and consulting firms focused on cannabis.
