contact period. The World War One medals of
a naval seaman were especially poignant, and
a tally-plate that belonged to a young Royal
Navy Officer, JSG Fraser, was very interesting
particularly from an early B.C.-coast surveying
perspective (he had a long career and became
a Rear-Admiral).”
The A/B Jetty Recapitalization Project and
Esquimalt Harbour Remediation Project will
support the RCN will into the future. Both the
region and Royal Canadian Navy will derive
benefit from the project, not least of which is
1,400 jobs, and the long-term operational effi-
ciencies at CFB Esquimalt for the Pacific Fleet.
