If you’ve ever tried to conduct a meeting or speak with a client via conference
call, you’re probably only too familiar with the frustration of dropped calls,
poor audio quality or the challenges of simply trying to connect multiple
participants. There’s nothing more exasperating than losing half the allotted
meeting time to technical challenges.
That’s why I was pleasantly surprised when I spoke with Mark Alexander,
President, The Americas, and Geoff Newman, Vice President, Sales, Canada,
for our cover feature on Arkadin. During our two separate interviews, we
connected using the ArkadinAnywhere web conferencing tool. It was abso-
lutely seamless; there was no software to install, the calls went through im-
mediately and the quality was excellent. In fact, it was as clear as if we had
been sitting across a conference table from each other.
Web conferencing is just one of many services that Arkadin offers and if my experience is any indication,
this is a company that every business should be considering when it comes to communications solutions.
Not only can they service clients of all sizes, but they can do it in 19 languages from more than 53 offices
worldwide.
Arkadin is one of the world’s fastest-growing collaboration service companies, and they continue to place
a high priority on customer satisfaction. In this month’s issue, you’ll discover how they are helping clients
around the world by reducing both the technical complexity and the cost of business communications.
Also in this issue:
• The City of Dorval in Quebec opened their new $20-million aquatic and sports complex this summer, of-
fering a vast array of programs and services to the area’s growing population.
• Simple, low-fee investing is accessible to anyone thanks to Wealthsimple, a Toronto-based company that
offers a newway to grow your money. No matter your net worth or investment know-how, working towards
financial freedom is just an online questionnaire away.
• Nash Jewellers in London, Ontario is proud to be a four-generation family business. Founded in 1918, the
company continues to evolve and is gearing up to amalgamate two older stores into one new location.
• It’s known as a triple play but we’re not talking about baseball. In the communications industry, it refers
to the internet, cable and home phone packages that consumers compare in search of the best deal. One of
the newest providers is VMedia and they’re poised to give their competitors a run for their money, offering
slimmed-down options and lower everyday rates.
